So the rumors are true. Yeah, after some interest from other companies, Greyson finally decided to sign with Flip Skateboards. He’s so stoked and I couldn’t be any more happier for him. Greyson’s super charged to be able to ride with some of his favorite skaters like Arto, Geoff, Rune, Lance… shit, so many people. Their roster is sick. Greyson now also rides for Analog Clothing and Gravis Shoes as well. And, don’t forget, he’s still the original Astroboy over here at Astrodeck, too.
The day Flip officially announced Greyson on their team, was the qualifying run for the Vans Pro-Tec Pool Party. Greyson did really well on that. Placed 6th overall. Not to sound like I’m all bragging - And so fucking what if I am? - but the kid had the smoothest frontside grinds and caught so much air. High definition for sure. Saturday was the Final and he didn’t do as well then, but he was definitely a crowd favorite and a lot of eyes were on him. I think Greyson leaves a positive impression on all those who witness him skating. Yeah. I said it.

Art Brewer usually lets his photos do the talking. So it’s a rare circumstance to capture the legendary surf & lifestyle lensman in front of the camera himself.
Part 1 of this D-Side interview centers around Art talking about his association with Bunker Spreckels, the prodigal stepson of Clark Gable and heir to the Spreckels Sugar dynasty. Two years later, Spreckels would be dead, but Art was along for the ride…and what a ride it was.
Check it out.
